High Strength Thermo-resistant Aluminum Alloy Conductor
HSTACIR
High strength thermo-resistant aluminum alloy conductor
Aluminum alloy conductors for transmission and distribution, including ACSR A/W and HSTACIR/AW, featuring high strength and heat resistance.
Overview
HSTACIR/AW (High Strength Thermo-resistant Aluminum-clad Invar-core Aluminum alloy Conductor) has a similar structure to conventional ACSR but is a fundamentally different conductor capable of carrying roughly twice the current. It is primarily used to upgrade transmission capacity by replacing existing lines without requiring tower modifications or reinforcement.
Key Features
Increased current capacity
Transmission capacity is improved up to approximately twice that of conventional ACSR while maintaining the same outer diameter and weight. Existing transmission lines can be upgraded without replacing towers or supports.
Low sag
Thanks to the low thermal expansion of the Invar alloy core, wire sag under high-temperature, high-current operation is significantly lower than with conventional ACSR. Clearance between wires and ground height are maintained stably.
